Founded in 1983, Fishkill Baptist Nursery School is dedicated to providing a nurturing, God-centered learning environment for the preschool-aged children of Dutchess County.
Our teachers are experienced and loving. Each classroom has at least one teacher who holds a bachelor’s degree or higher in education. Over the past 40 years we have developed a curriculum that nurtures each child’s development and instills a love for learning and a desire for discovery.

Mrs. Julie Emmett (Director/4's Teacher)Julie Emmett worked as a teaching assistant in public school and as an elementary school substitute teacher before accepting a teaching position at FBNS. She also directs the Children’s Ministry program for Fishkill Baptist, overseeing both Sunday school and Children’s Church. Julie holds a degree in Christian Education and completed certification at the elementary level while also pursuing graduate work. Her life is truly devoted to children. She is married to Joe, and they have two adult daughters and two grandchildren.

Mrs. Ruth Meibauer (3's/4's Teacher)Ruth has been with Fishkill Baptist for many years, working as a substitute then as assistant and now for two years as teacher. She has a great sense of humor and compassion as a grandmother of 12! Together with assistant Suganthi Theodore, they run a fun and organized program. She is married to William and they have 5 children and 12 grandchildren. Three of Ruth’s kids are graduates of FBNS!
