Below are some answers to common questions about our programs. For specifics about each program, please check out our programs page by clicking HERE. If you have a question you do not see answered, please feel free to contact us by clicking HERE.
What are the registration requirements?
There is a $50 registration fee for the threes and fours classes, and a $100 fee for the Bridge to Kindergarten program. If you are registering more than one child at a time, you only pay one registration fee, and the other(s) are waived. For example, if you are registering a Bridge student and a three-year- old, you would only pay $100. We require the physical and immunization records of each child by the first day of school.
I am not Baptist. What kind of religious content is taught at FBNS?
Because of the young ages of the children, we do not get into heavy, deep theology. We teach them that God loves them, God made them and the world, that they can talk to God, etc. We also celebrate Christmas as Jesus’ birthday, and talk about the new life we can have because of Easter. We have chapel several times per month in which one of our pastors, an elder, or other teacher comes and gives a brief Bible lesson to the kids.
We have had families of all religious backgrounds over the years- Catholic, Methodist, Lutheran, Muslim, Presbyterian, Hindu, and more- and some who do not have any particular religious affiliation. All have felt comfortable with our teachings and with the values that their children have learned here.

What is your policy regarding snow days?
In general, we follow the lead of Wappingers School District. If they close for a snow day, we will close. If they have a two-hour delay, we will be delayed for one hour and open at 10am. This allows for safe travel, and gives us time to clear the parking lot.
What if my child has delays, such as speech or fine motor skills?
If your child is already receiving services through a school district, we welcome him or her and any therapists or teachers with open arms as partners in your child’s learning. If your child is already attending FBNS and we become concerned that a delay may be present, your child’s teacher will speak privately with you about considering an evaluation through the school district. We are happy to help with the referral process in any way we can, including writing a letter to the district describing the needs of the child, and attending CPSE or CSE meetings to support the parents. Often, the ages of three and four are when these delays manifest themselves, and our teachers are ready to identify them.
